Palanpur: Three minors from Rajasthan were killed and the other two were injured after the vehicle hit them when they walked along the highway near Ranpur in the Banskantha district on Saturday.
According to the police, unknown vehicles ran more than five people, who walked to the city of Ambaji, where the three minors were killed in that place.
The accident lasts around 3am, said an official of the Ambaji police station.
“The victims have begun their journey by foot from the Ambasa Village in the Udaipur District in neighboring Rajasthan.
Vehicles are fast, which have not been identified, fled after the accident,” he said.
The deceased’s body was sent to the Government Hospital for Post-Mortem.
Their family members arrived after being told, he added.
“We tried to ensure the identity of the vehicle involved in the case of Hit-and-Run,” police official said.
The deceased was identified as Damor Naresh (16), Damor Harish (15) and Reshmi Bhoi (12), police said.
Hundreds of worshipers traveled a long walk from various parts of Gujarat and Rajasthan to Ambaji to offer prayers at the Ambaji Temple.
