Mumbai: The police on Wednesday arrested three people in several hours in Mumbai after they robbed the 24-year-old Saki Naka resident of his cellphone and his golden chain in Wee.
All three were accused of being tracked to Govandi with the help of CCTV footage sought from the area in Nahar Amrit Shakti Road, said the police said Saki Naka.
The incident occurred around 3.46 in the morning when the victim was identified as Swapnil Khindvikar, which was hired at the food outlet, was walking back home when the three were accused of taking him.
“Khindvikar returned after serving the night when he was robbed of his belongings.
In a few hours, the Saki Police detection team Saki Naka solves this case and restores all stolen properties,” said DCP (Zone X) Maheshwar Reddy.
The robbers were arrested after police tracked them with CCTV footage who arrested him directly from Saki Naka to Govandi while running away.
“The defendant had a criminal record before.
They threatened Kenindvikar before robbing it.
With technical assistance, the robbers were identified and Nabbed,” said Senior Police Inspector Saki Naka, Balwant Deshmukh.
