Nagpur: Three women who are part of the strip performances in Brahmni Village, Umred Taluka, from Nagpur Regency on January 17 were interrogated by police officers Sub-Division (SDO) Pooja Gaikwad on Sunday.
Nagpur rural police so far arrested 11 people, including three men’s dancers and as many committeers as possible from Brahmni.
The police focused on Alex Julie’s dance group, who had appeared at the event.
After capturing three men’s dancers, including the leader of the group identified as Alex, rural police have now traced the women who looked dancing and disabling videos.
The video clip of the strip shows that the pretext of cultural concerts as part of the celebration of the bulls train race post has become a viral, which leads to strict police actions in several places.
Apart from Brahmni, there was strong rumors about such dance performances held in three villages in Kuhi, but the police had not found any evidence.
Investigation of SDPO Gaikwad officers, who headed for a special investigation team formed to investigate the show show case, said the women were questioned and sent back because they could not be retained with norms.
“We will question women in detail and then decide whether to arrest them,” he said.
Learned that the committee and dance group now leveled allegations with each other.
The committee claimed that the dance group members had been stripped themselves when appearing.
Members of the Dance Group stated that the organizers had forced them to strip and threaten to hold them until they were robed.
The police said the dance showed not infrequently in the countryside.
They are known differently in various regions such as ‘Mandai’, a police officer said.
“There is also a manufacturing program that can be known as ‘dance recordings’, where the villagers enjoy playing music on their voice system followed by a party,” said a police officer.
The police now ensure whether the dance group has done a similar strip shows elsewhere in the district too.
