Tidy up land allocated for mp belief wife: k’taka HC

Bengaluru: Chasing “Cases showed favoritism and regulations for a clear reason”, the High Court on Thursday canceled the absolute sales certificate executed by the Karnataka Housing Agency (KHB) who supported Bengaluru-based charity trust, led by the wife of a MP.
TheKHB has allocated sites without participating in the rationing regulations, the Division bench was observed, while directing KHB to take back the land in 30 days.
Powering RS 1 lakh at KHB, benches direct the main Secretary of the Housing Department to conduct an investigation and restore the amount of cost of the wrong official, while indicating that there is a collusion because the sales certificate is 16 years after allotment to overcome the conditions in the original allotment.
KHB has carried out a sales certificate on July 28, 2020 in connection with 278 square meters on the site in the 5th phase, the new city of Yelanda.
Original allotment was made on August 23, 2004 to Murthy Charitable Trust, led by Gayathri, wife of Umesh Jadhav, MP.
Trust has paid Rs 3,87,000 at that time towards 232 square meters of the CA site.
Allotment is for educational and public purposes and construction must be carried out in two years.
However, there is no construction done and there are no steps taken for cancellation of allotment either under the ACT KHB or KHB rate rules.
Adinarayana Shetty from Koramangala challenged sales deed, declaring Rs 10 Crore worth of land had parted with only RS 21,87,000.
The counselor’s advisor argues that trust has been liked only because the President happens to be the wife of parliamentary members.
