MySuru: Foresters in Nagarahole Tiger Reserve has launched the operation to capture tigers that have been seen hanging around the suburbs of protected for the past few days.
The foresters had set up a cage near the Motha Village in HD Kote Taluk to trap the tiger, which, said the local population had proseed their livestock.
The pug from the tiger has been noticed by the villagers, who have signaled the forester of it.
The foresters had placed their cages at the location where the villagers saw it.
A forester said that villagers claimed to have seen tigers near Naganahalli, Makakuppe and the surrounding area.
“Motha is a small village, about 3 km from one end to the other.
There is also a report about potential leopards around Motha.
We keep a close watch in the village, and gather information from the locals,” said a forester.
