TirunelVeli: Administrative District Tirunelveli worked on a multipong approach to preventing the death of students at school, following the collapse of toilet walls in Schafffer Middle School in the city who left three dead boys and four others were injured on Thursday.
These steps are separated from identifying and destroying school buildings in dilapidated conditions and starting actions against those responsible for the tragedy.
While the independent wall covered the toilet which collapsed did not have the foundation, there were several other reasons which allegedly caused the tragedy.
Because it took place during intervals of around 11 in the morning, students handed over the toilet at the same time.
It can be recalled that three school physical education teachers are placed under suspension because they fail to regulate the crowd.
On the other hand, students alleged that some teachers stood as a silent audience without helping students trapped under the rubble, stopping other students to help them and by not providing their four-wheeled vehicles to rush the students to the hospital.
Students say that boys can be saved if the teachers have extended their car to save injured.
Visnu District collector told Tii that they talked to the two problems above.
“We work with the school education department to regulate interval time in such a way that all classes do not have intervals at the same time,” he said.
They work on a system where some classes will have intervals at certain times, followed by other classes in batches.
They are in the process of emphasizing on building more toilets in schools where facilities are less than student strength.
In the second aspect, the sensitization program is being planned for the principal and teacher to motivate them to act and save those who are in trouble, leaving fear to face actions if something is wrong.
“The ‘first Samaria’ program is where they will get incentives,” Wisnu added.
