Chennai: Acceptance courses for MBBS / BDS for the 2021-22 academic year, scheduled to begin on January 30, will be held online, Health Minister Tamil Nadu Ma Subramanian said here on Wednesday, after releasing a list of postgraduate schedules.
Counseling Special Categories Students – Quota with physical disabilities, sports and defense – and government school students, however, will be held offline starting January 27 and 29.
NEET-based counseling for all others (vertical caste-based reservations) will be held offline, said Subramanian.
“The decision was made so students and parents do not need to travel for reception during a pandemic,” he said.
The medical counseling committee in the middle, which conducts counseling to enter central universities, AIIMS, AFMC, Jipmer and 15% of Indian quota seats will conduct the first round of online counseling between January 19 and January 28.

In their schedule, they said the country could conduct the first counseling round between January 27 and January 31,” he said.

On January 23, the country will start counseling to enter 1,053 postgraduate medical seats.
Almost simultaneously, on January 24, the state will release a list of achievements for receipt of MBBS.
After completing counseling for the special category on January 27, the state will conduct counseling for government school students for whom the country has ordered a 7.5% seat.
This year, with the addition of 11 new government medical colleges, the selection committee will conduct counseling to enter 6,999 MBBS chairs, including 4,349 in government medical colleges.
The selection committee will also conduct counseling to enter the 1,930 BDS seats in government and self-financing.
