Chennai: In the suicide pact, the pair killed their 14-year-old son and then committed suicide in Avadi on Friday morning, police said.
Mohammad Salim, 44, a resident of Ashok Nagar, is a broker.
He married Sophia, 37, and the couple had a 14-year-old son Abdul Salim.
Salim is a speech and hearing loss.
The pair was said to have been annoyed over the condition of their son and asked for help some doctors to help the boy speak and hear.
Because they could not succeed in completing any treatment, they decided to end their lives, police said.
Mohammad Salim sent a message to his sister Salima told her decision.
He also mentions in the message that no one is responsible for their death.
Salim asked the police to hand over their property to their sisters and their children.
The Salima sent a message at 5.30 in the morning, saw the same only after 7 in the morning and rushed to the brother’s house, when he found the trio hanging from the ceiling.
The body was sent for Postmortem to the Kilparuk MEDICAL COLLEGE and Hospital government.
Police Avadi has launched an investigation.
