Coimbatore: The last minute video of the MI-17V5 Helicopter Indian Air Force (IAF) shows her helicopter firmly and disappears into thick fog blankets on the mountains.
In the second few seconds, there was a hard explosion and the sound of the helicopter’s depiction.
“What happened? Is the helicopter falling?” People were seen asking in a long 19 second video shot by Y Joe alias Kutty, 52, a city resident, who was on his way to Ooty.
Joe recorded a video on his cellphone.
A wedding photographer from Ramanathapuram, Joe met Police Commissioner Pradip Kumar in his room on Friday morning and told him about the video, which he recorded on Wednesday just before his helicopter near the coonor in the Nilgris district, claimed the life of the principal, claimed defense staff, General Bipin was treated, his wife and 11 other defense personnel.
Joe was accompanied by his friend H Nazar, 52, a Karumbatai resident, who was seen in the video.
Nazar runs a printing machine in Gandhipuram.
Joe said he had joined Nazar and family on their way to Ooty on Wednesday.
“We reached the mountain train line near Kattery in the afternoon and began taking photos and videos.
When I heard Chopper’s voice, I started recording video.
The helicopter flew firmly and disappeared into the fog.
In a few seconds, we heard a loud and loud noise.
Thinking the helicopter fell.
“Nazar said the area was covered with fog.
“Our video is one of the main evidence for the investigation of the helicopter crash,” he added.
While they tried to climb the hill, Joe said, the police reached the place and did not let them continue.
“After reaching Ooty, we tried to approach the District Collectorate District and the police supervisor office, but we could not convey their messages.
We then returned to the spot crash and told the officials there.” The video became a viral on social media on Thursday .
“We were not questioned by the police.
We have provided details of our contact to the city police,” Nazar said.
The city police commissioner said both had met him in his office and completed their address and cellphone number.
“The Nilgiris district police are investigating the case of the helicopter and we will continue the details to the investigative officer.”
