Patna: The train board has nomined 52 stations that fall under the Jurisdiction of East Central Train (ECR) to make them more environmentally friendly and eco-smart.
It intends to get an ISO 14001: 2015 certificate from the pollution control council of the cities concerned by maintaining better cleanliness and cleanliness at these stations.
According to the Head of the Public Relations (CPRO) ECR, Rajesh Kumar, 52 stations including Junction Patna, Terminal Rajendra Nagar, Junction Muzaffarpur and Junction Style in Bihar.
“National Green Tribunal has also issued an advisor to the train to oversee the environment-related activities carried out inside and around the station under the ECR.
Therefore, the latter will ensure the right water supply, compliance with pollution prevention requirements and solid waste management At these stations.

In addition, the train has installed water harvesting and recycling treatment plants at Danapur Station, Rajendra Nagar and Baruni to keep them neat and clean.
It has also conducted an energy audit and electric water on most ECR stations to ensure pure water supply and prevent power waste.
“The train has introduced a 24×7 mechanical cleaning system at the ECR main station, including Patna Junction and Rajendra Terminal Nagar.
The trail is cleaned regularly so that passengers do not experience a foul odor when riding a train or resigning,” said CPRO.
Meanwhile, Bihar pollution control boards, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh have praised the train to maintain an environmentally friendly atmosphere inside and around different stations.
