Panaji: Chairman of the Pramod Minister Sawant on Monday said that trained police personnel will be specifically posted on the beaches in North and South Goa to help tourists.
“Tourism police trained in soft skills will be posted on the beach to help tourists,” Sawant said at the World Wisata World event organized by Goa Travel and Tourism Association (TTAG) and Goa Tourism.
The minister’s chairman said that the 50% concession in the registration and license fees would be extended to the hotel that was not starring.
Already, 50% of assistance in the license fee has been given to the shack beach operator.
Various functions, including demonstrations, are held throughout the state to mark world tourism days.
Sawant told tourism stakeholders, who were present in large quantities, that the central government would immediately provide special permission for the charter.
Since last season, tour operators and hotels that truly depend on the charter business have been beaten badly.
The 2019-2020 season was stopped because of a pandemic in February-March 2020.
Keep closed during the other season, Trade believes, will be the last nail in the coffin.
By trading delays in obtaining permission for the event, Sawant said, tourism secretary J Ashok Kumar worked to introduce a single window permit system for the event.
Emphasizing the government’s plan to vaccinate the state at the end of October, he asked tourism stakeholders to help the government in his efforts.
To improve and build new tourism infrastructure, more than 200 Crore Hospital has been spent and the state will invest 200 other crores in the current financial year, he said.
