Trichy recorded 50 new Covid cases, Madurai 26

Madurai / Trichy: The number of people who recovered from Covid-19 lost a new number in Madurai after almost 10 days on Wednesday with the district added 26 new cases while 30 recovered from infection.
This is reflected in the number of active cases down to 309 of 313 on Tuesday.
Trichy posted 50 fresh cases while the number of patients disposed of 78.
The active case amounted to 595, down from 622 on Tuesday.
A total of 141 new cases were recorded in ten South Kabils with Tirunelveli (23) and Kankumumari (21) to be the only district besides Madurai to add more than 20 new cases.
They were followed by Tuticorin (14), Virudhunagar (13), Dindigul (13) and Ramanathapuram (10).
Tenkasi (3), Sivaganga (9) and Theni (9) add less than 10 cases.
Two Covid-19 deaths recorded in the area were in Theni with one victim, the victim was killed from the trichy district touching 1,034 which remained the highest in the region.
The district has so far itsly have the highest number of positive cases, 76,371, and repatriated 74,742 recovered patients.
The central region posted 291 new cases with Thanjavur contributed the highest of 80.
The number of active cases in the region touched 3.221 with a debit 246 while the cumulative death toll touched 4,301 with the addition of five more patients.
Of a total of 3,16,882 cases so far, the region has issued 3,09,360 patients.
