Chandigarh: The Government Haryana on Friday claims to have approved a number of RS.561.11 as compensation for damage to plants to farmers who suffer from plant damage due to heavy rain, water attacks and insects, etc.
This number is distributed to farmers in sequence.
An official spokesman said that orders were given to all the commissioners of the division and deputy commissioner to assess the damage caused by cotton, moong, paddy, bajra and sugar cane plants due to heavy rains, water attacks and insects in the state for ‘specifically for Giridawari Kharif-2021’ .
In this case, deputy commissioner has sent a report on the assessment of plant damage to the government through an interested division commissioner and after analyzing the same, the government has approved a number of Rs.561.11 Crore as compensation.
The spokesman said that Rs 172.32 Crore was approved for the RS district, RS.
127.02 Crore for Bhiwani, RS 95.29 Crore for Fatehabad, RS.
72.86 Crore for SANSA, RS 45.24 Crore for Charkhi Dadri, RS.
24.51 Crore for Jhajjar RS.
12.26 Crore for Sonipat, RS.
10.45 Crore for Rohtak and Rs 58.28 lakh for Palwal.
To provide fair compensation for farmers, the ministerial chief recently announced to increase the amount of plant compensation from Rs 12,000 per acre to Rs 15,000.
