Kolkata: Two Trinamool MPS Congress – Dola Sen and Aparupa Poddar – attacked on Sunday when they traveled to Thairum in Tripura to lift the national flag.
Their cars were searched and parliamentarians were attacked and Secretary Dola Sen suffered a head injury because the brick was thrown into their car.
Sen and Poddar returned to Kolkata on Sunday night for the treatment of injured people.
Mobile and Aparupa Poddar bags are also taken away, MP claims.
Dola Sen, a member of Rajya Sabha, said “CM Mamata had called to take information after he knew the attack on us.
He said that Raj Forest will soon be over.
We returned to Kolkata with a night flight for treatment” Dola condemned the attack and said that this shows that the BJP government is afraid of Trinamool.
He said that bricks were cast randomly before the police.
The police remained inactive who helped the attackers, he accused.
They even crashed into a car with bamboo and sticks, MP added.
