Rajkot: Trader of Peanuts from Junagadh was cheated by RS 2.4 Crore by three people who did not pay for the peanut shares they bought from him.
Pressur Desai, who owned a peanut processing plant, told the police that three were accused of, Harshad Pagadar, Sandeep Pagadar and his father Velji Pagadar put 490 tons of peanuts about three months ago.
The three told the desire that they had received orders from Maharashtra State Seeds Corporation Ltd to supply peanuts.
For their orders, Desai sent a stock to them after the initial payment of Rs 87 lakh was made.
The defendant has promised to do the remaining RS 2.4 Crore payment as once their payment will be cleaned.
After a few weeks, when the payment remained delayed, Desai contacted the trio who asked for its contribution.
Three defendants told him that they had not been paid and so, it was impossible for them to pay for it.
But when the desire insisted, they said they had wheat and gram stocks they could give in lieu of money, police said.
Desire agreed to take wheat and gram and send people to collect stocks.
However, when the villagers reached the Trio office in Junagadh, they found the office locked and their phone was turned off.
After not being able to contact several days, Desai approached the police and filed a complaint of fraud at the Junagadh Taluka police station.
