Mumbai: First, the trustee of Ahmednagar Nursing College has paid Rs 50 lakh as a donation to cancer hospitals as “repentance measures” for flouuting norms set by the State Cost Management Authority (FRA).
Trustees recognize the illegality and irregularities and produce receipt of donations before authority.
In addition, FRA has collected a fine of Rs 15 Lakh on Gramin Samajsevi Sanstha from Ahmednagar to manipulate the revised proposal record.
In the other two main orders passed this week, FRA, under the leadership of Retired Justice V L Achliya, said the Legal College of Borivli managed by former minister and college management from Thane to return excessive costs from students.
Borivli College was ordered to pay Rs 58 lakh.
