Two arrested for stealing crude oil from the pipe

Vadodara: Prevention of Crime Branch (PCB) has damaged the racket to steal crude oil from the pipe placed by Ongc and arrest two men on Saturday.
Duo defendants have stolen oil from the stem pipe near the village of Raipura on the outskirts of the city.
According to the police, Sleuth PCB has received information that Amarshanth Rathod, who was previously arrested in crude oil theft, had stolen oil from pipes and tankers lowered in the transportation company complex near the Ranoli Bridge on Saturday.
The police stormed the place and arrested Shashikant Yadav, who had a transportation firm, and Hanuman Vanzara.
Police have not arrested Rathod, Sanjay Kaliyo and Madanlal Vanzara who are also involved in oil theft racquets.
Police said that Rathod had many cases ordered to him and he had been arrested by Karjan police, Anand police, Patan police and even police in Rajasthan in the past.
Rathod stole crude oil from pipes placed by Ongc and IOCL and sold them on the open market.
The Sleuth PCB has confiscated two tankers filled with stolen crude oil regardless of the tools used to steal oil and cash.
