Two Covid clusters reported in MySuru

MySuru: MySuru on Friday reported two new Covid clusters, the first in the past half of the year.
Also, the number of Covid cases crosses 200-mark on Friday.
Health officials have identified two clusters – one with eight cases in BCM Hostel, Chamamahalli, T Narasipura, and others with seven cases in RBI Colony in MySore City.
Officials have taken precautions and increases testing all their contacts, both primary and secondary.
MySuru Regency on Friday recorded 219 positive cases with the city that recorded the highest number of cases in 163.
Twenty-nine cases came from T Narasipura and 11.

According to statistics issued by the Information Department, 12 children aged 17 years and under have tested the positive virus in Mysore City.
From them, two under 5 years and four were in the age group 6-10.
At present, 484 active cases are in Mysuru City.
The steps taken by the District Minister and Chamarajanagar Minister S S Somashekar on Friday said the government had taken difficult steps to control the virus spread across the state.
