Rajkot: Nine police officers, including sub-inspectors and head constables, were ordered due to negligence after two undertrial prisoners accused the murder of escaping from their prisoners in the city of Rapar Kutch on Monday night.
The incident occurred when the police team returned after attending the court hearing in Rapar.
According to police reported, 13 prisoners from Galpadar prison in Gandhidham were taken to the Rapar for hearing the court on Monday.
After completing the court process, the police van on the way back to Gandhidham, stopped near Balargadh after one of the prisoners complained of vomiting and the other requested a toilet break.
The two detainees came out of the van and before the police could understand they escaped from the place.
Duo – Sukhdev Koli and Tulsi Koli – accused of murder cases.
The police said that Sukhdev allegedly killed his lover with the help of Tulsi.
After a preliminary investigation, nine police were ordered due to negligence on duty.
This includes PSI P R Jadeja (fast response team), constable head chunilal and constable virendrasinh, Vishal, Devendra, Vijay, Gokan, Manabhai, Jignesh.
The case was also submitted against both prisoners who fled detention.
