Jaipur: The branch of Jaipur police crime on Tuesday arrested two famous gangsters with bonds with Lawrence Bishnoi and Geng Jateri and restored two firearms and ammunition caches.
Additional Police Commissioner (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said that the police arrested Rajdeep Barad (25) and Ashish Vishnoi (30).
“Based on their interrogation, we told the Sriganganagar police and they arrested a Nishant with seven illegal firearms there,” he said.
The crime branch has launched an operation on Gun (AAG) recently and received specific intelligence that the two feared criminals were present in the city with a large cache and ammunition.
A team of two inspectors was released and they arrested Barad and Vishnoi, both Indigenous Srianganganagar.
Apart from two pistols, the team also confiscated seven cartridges directly from them.
Police knew that the defendant had competition with Bikaner-based gangsters, which they collected weapons and cartridges.
Introduction Investigations showed that Vishnii and Barad had bought weapons from Indore in Madhya Pradesh and sold seven of them to one Nishat in Sriganganagar.
They also provide almost seven high-quality weapons to Haryana-based criminals.
In addition to their wrinkled gang network, the family of police inspectors posted in Haryana were also under their radar.
In accordance with the police, a gangster told the duo to follow the inspector’s brother to teach him a lesson.
Lamba said that the defendant had protected other famous gang members, including Lawrance Bishnoi Gang.
Ashish Vishnii allegedly claimed to have run the Lawrance gang in Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, and Bikaner.
But the police have not confirmed their claims.
“We suspect that they came to provide an illegal weapons consignment here, investigations were ongoing to zero in their prospective customers,” he said.
The Crime branch filtered two criminal antecedans accused and found their footprints in the alleged offer to someone for extortion of RS 1 Crore in Sriganganagar in 2020, and two other similar cases for extortion in Sriganganagar.
