Rajkot: Two people were killed and one injury when their bicycle rises collided with van pick-up near the village of Hingolgadh Vinchhiya Taluka in Rajkot on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Ranjit Gadhadara (22) Village Amrapur and Vikas Mackwana (19) from Hingolgadh Village.
The third friend, Rahul Bavaliya, has been treated at a government hospital in Bhavnagar with a serious injury.
According to the police, the accident occurred when Van pick-up tried following another vehicle from the wrong side and hit a bikers who came from behind the opposite direction on the Jasdan-Botad highway.
The bikers were thrown a few feet into the air after the van crashed into a bicycle, police said.
The police said that the Ranjit died before he could reach the hospital in Jas and, while Vikas surrendered to injury at the Rajkot civil hospital.
Complaints have been submitted against Van Drivers taking to drive rashes, police said and search efforts to arrest them.
