Rajkot: Both accused Salim Jacob Kara and Ali Jacob Kara, who were detained on Wednesday after recovery of 47 drug packages worth RS 223 Crore from them, detained under the police.
The police were led to both after a Thane man named Sajjad Ghosi told the police that he had bought drugs from them.
Ghosi was arrested on Wednesday from Devbhumi Dwarka District for having psychotropic substances worth more than Rs 88 lakh.
The police said that Salim and Ghosi had come into contact when they were submitted in prison in Mumbai.
While Salim served the term in connection with the case of the fake currency, the sajjad was in prison for murder.
In addition to the case of counterfeit currencies, Salim has been captured in drug cases too.
“Total seizure so far around Rs 315 Crore.
We got ghosi prisoners for nine days from the court and two allegedly will also be produced before the court on Thursday night for their detention,” said a police officer.
Salim and Ali will be interrogated about the source of whom they use drugs.
