Bhubaneswar: Two officials, including one senior police officer, on Tuesday was suspended by the State Election Commission for violating the model of the Covid-19 code of ethics and guidelines.
Official sources said the polling panel had directed the Director General of Police (DGP) Sunil Kumar Bansal and the House Department to suspend police officers Sub-Division Salipur (SDO) Prashant Majhi.
Recommend schools and mass education departments to suspend the principle of Dash Bikash from Maa Tarini College, Mahakalapada, in the Kendrapada district.
The instructions have also been issued to file complaints against the duo.
According to reports, both Majhi and Dash were present at the election meeting held in universities, videos distributed extensively on social media the day before.
More than 200 people attended the meeting.
Previously, Sec had been looking for reports from the Kendrapada Regency administration based on the recommended actions of government achievements.
