Rajkot: Two students including three people who were killed and 11 were injured when MUV they fell to a truck near the Crossroads Tarapur close to Bagodara on Wednesday morning.
The group returned after participating in the Judo Under-19 tournament held at VAPI.
According to the police, Harshal Padhyar (17), Ishuti Bokhiriya (16) and Vishal Zariya (25) died.
Ten students, coaches and two Rajkot team managers went to Vapi on December 25 for the tournament and started for Rajkot on December 28 night.
The police said poor visibility because severe fog resulted in the accident, Harsahal’s father as a member of the Congress Party and had a factory in the Shapar industrial area, while Ishuti was a native of Porbandar studied in Rajkot.
The injured students were Dhanvan Gadhiya, Ankit Pal, Karan Zarsaniya, Ekta Limbasiya, Hiral Nandvana, Avni Dodiya, Krishna Barad and Radhika Mehta.
Chauhan and Rajiv Chauire and Rajiv Chauhan team managers and Chauhan coach, who were injured, shifted to Ahmedabad’s civil hospital and SVP hospital.
Dhanvan Ghadiya’s condition is said to be important.
