New Delhi: Bengal Team Management is very interested in tracking Fast U-19 Indian Pacer Ravi Kumar in the upcoming Trophy Ranji where the team started the campaign from February 16 at the Cuttack.
It is understood that Wriddhiman Saha’s veteran-dough guards will be available for at least the opening game if not the first two of the trophy Ranji before he joins the Bio-Bubble Indian team in Mohali for the first test, scheduled tentatively on March 4.
Bengal has been beaten with Chandigarh, Hyderabad, and Baroda in Elite Group B and the team will depart for Cuttack on February 10 along with two World Cuppers U-19 – Ravi’s dough guard and left course, Abhishek Pory.
Even the former Indian opener and Bengal U-19 head coach Devang Gandhi welcomed the idea if the selector and management of the senior team decided to include Ravi in the senior squad.
“Nothing gives more satisfaction coach than seeing the ward they make it to the elite level.
That’s just like the coach we are ideals for – to guide a talented boy in the right direction.” No one will be happier than me.
If both Ravi and Abhishek Porel, (also in West Indies as alert) made him a team of Ranji, “Devang told PTI, after guiding a junior team to Cooch Behar Trophy-finals.
While BCCI has not announced the date of the National Under-19 quarter , Gandhi argues that as much as he will be happy to have it on the junior team, the goal is to see them get ready for a harder challenge in front.
“I want them to have a quarter-final like and when they are held.
But for their own growth and improvement, they must quickly advance to the next level.
“For Ravi, I can say that he is a very loud and years old boy, you will see him add a few meters with the natural ability to swing it back,” Devang said.
While talking with sources close to the management of the senior team, someone gets a feeling that either Ravi and Porel will arrive at the main squad if you don’t play xi.
Being a left-arm sailor and get the ball to Dart in helping Ravi to add variations to any bowling attack.
“Yes, there is a bright possibility that Ravi after his appearance at the U-19 World Cup will be included in a senior Bengal team.
We need to plan them and catch them young.” With BCCI not scheduled Turney U-25 (Bengal A) until now, Ravi needs to be fostered carefully.
Obviously, this is a voter call but the two head coach Arun Lal and coach Saurasish Lahiri keep the watch near Ravi.
“Even if he didn’t arrive at the first XI in front of Akash Deep, Ishan Porel and Mukesh Kumar, who knew there might be an opportunity around the corner,” said the source of Bengal team management.
In the case of Abhishek Porel, he has a better chance to make his debut with big gloves and many believe that he has a game to play as a pure mixture.
“Abhishek will make his debut have a Sri Lankan test not pushed back to March.
But now, we expect WridDHI available for the first match and maybe also the second game,” he said.
Indian voters want all test specialists to play at least two Ranji trophies before reporting to the national team bubble.
