KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) heaved a sigh of relief on Wednesday following the UAE government issued visas to both gamers and broadcasting team of Pakistan Super League games to be held in Abu Dhabi. The PCB affirmed the UAE government had issued visas to 25 Indian nationals that are a part of their broadcasting team to travel out of India into Abu Dhabi. The visas for 26 South Africans, including players and specialized personnel, to journey from Johannesburg into the Emirates have been issued. The Southern African based comprises players Faf du Plessis, David Miller, Rilee Rousseau, Cameron Delport, Michael Smith and Herschel Gibbs. “All of the players, crew and officials that check in their hotels by 2.00. P.M on 27th May could have been believed to have begun their isolation interval,” the Board said in a statement. The PCB is flying about 233 players of each of the six franchises of this PSL and its own employees on airline flights to incorporate from the rest 20 games that are most likely to be played from June 6 to 20. The players, both the officers and Board employees have cleared 2 COVID-19 evaluations after being dispersed at resorts in Karachi and Lahore to the past few days. The PCB had employed for UAE visas for 370 people, involving officials, players and broadcasters, also stated except for a couple of instances the UAE government had issued visas throughout the Emirates Cricket Board. For the Indians along with the South Africans, the UAE government have created a minimal seven-day quarantine period mandatory since both the states are contained at the red-list of many countries because of the large number of COVID-19 instances. Following eight weeks of quarantine, they could begin their responsibilities under rigorous Standard Operating Procedures. The PCB chose to maintain the remaining 20 games of their PSL-6 at Abu Dhabi following the championship had to be stalled in early March at Karachi because of increasing COVID-19 instances one of the franchise officials and players.
