Jaipur: The day after recovering from Covid, a 73-year-old man died in Udaipur on Friday.
The man, who was fully vaccinated against the virus, was also tested positive for the Omicron strain.
The Ministry of Health claims that the person died of post-covid complications.
The man was taken to the MB hospital attached to the RNT medical college with Covid with symptoms on December 15.
“He was tested negatively for Covid on December 21 and the second test was carried out on December 25, and he tested the second time.
He was declared free Corona.
He shifted from the Covid ICU to the medical ICU, where he died on Friday morning.
Due to complications Post-covid, he remained hospitalized and he died of a post-infection condition, “said Dr.
Dinesh Kharadi, Chief Medical Health Officer (Udaipur).
The sample was sent for the genome sequencing and the report was received by the Udaipur Health Department official on December 25, but when he recovered from this disease.
The 73-year-old child has comorbidity, which might worsen his condition.
“He suffered from comorbidity, including diabetes, hypertension, and hypothyroidism,” Dr Kharadi said.
The Ministry of Health has conducted the 73-year-old man’s contacts and did not find anyone in the contacted Covid-19 contact even though the sample was tested twice.

Until now, the country has reported 69 cases of omicron tensions, from the fourth found in Udaipur.
