Thiruvananthapuram: Vimukthi mission from the Excise Ministry will launch the project to help students channel their energy into the creative art and sports activities, besides helping them improve their academic performance.
This is part of the initiative to divert students from the adverse effects of drugs and alcohol.
Vimukthi’s mission will implement a program based on experiments, in four schools in Thiruvananthapuram.
‘Unarvu’ will be carried out with associations with PTA from school, representatives from community associations and residents other than traders and businessmen of locality.
‘Unarvu’, which means ‘resurrection’, seeks to prevent children from using drugs, instill confidence in them and train them in creative purses, change their minds from dangerous habits in an effort to find and nourish their talents in arts and sports, with Thus saved their future from being destroyed.
To start, the project will choose four schools from each of the 14 district districts.
