Rajkot: The Government of Gujarat on Monday called the lower bridge in Rajkot after General Bipin Praying to respect the Chief of Staff of the First State who died in a helicopter accident in December 2021.
Minister Gujarat Bhupendra Patel inaugurated in Laxmi located in Laxmi Area Virtually.
“Later last, the head of the three wings of the armed forces, CD General Bipin took care, lost his life in a tragedy.
This bridge must be named the CD General Bipin Rawat Bridge,” Patel said.
Previously, Rajkot Mayor Pradeep Dav had requested CM to suggest a name for the structure, which was built at the cost of Rs 48 Crore.Patel said his government was committed to spending money on infrastructure in the state, and registering various development works was carried out in Rajkot.
Working out of law December 8 when his military helicopter fell near the coonor in the Nilgiris district in Tamil Nadu.
All 14 on the ship, including the wife of General, was killed in the incident.
