New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday praised UNESCO’s decision to approve the legacy status to the Kolkata Puja Durga Festival as “proud problems and joy for every Indian”.
UNESCO has provided a legacy status to Durga Puja Festival in the capital of West Bengal.
“Durga Puja in Kolkata has just been written on a list of intangible inheritance.
Congratulations India,” The UN agency was posted on Twitter with a picture of the goddess idol attached to it.
