Vadodara: MS University students show their speech skills while presenting views on topics ranging from history to secularism issues and bookings during the inter-faculty debate competition.
The meeting was organized by the MS University Student Union (Sumsu).
Round filtering was held on the first day of the three-day event which ended on Friday.
About 90 participants were given two minutes to present their views on the topic decided by the organizers.
The 24 candidates who qualified for the next round were divided into 12 teams.
After the second round of the qualification, a talk event was held where Colonel Vinod Falnikar and Sergeant Sangeet Jha inspired young people with their lives.
The last day of the competition saw six teams, with each two members, against him in the final round.
The topic for the final round is: ‘Indian history: just about the glory of Mughal’, ‘secular words are not secular in themselves’ and ‘reservation system: a little too long’.
The Jha Apurva team and Anjali Singh were declared a winner.
Ayushi Patil and Nidhi Chawda, from the Faculty of Social Work, was decided as the first runner-up.
While Hekmatiullah and Pratham Shah from the same faculty were finished one third.
Shah bagged the best debate trophy.
