MySuru: Two weeks after the State Higher Education Department asked all state universities to relieve appointed contract employees without nods, university authorities in repairs.
They have decided to write to the government seeking their guidance to run universities without temporary staff because they face the big shortcomings of their university’s permanent faculty.
“But I pressurized against implementing the government’s orders.
I have explained at the University syndicate meeting that government orders cannot be implemented.
So, now the wrong information spread against me,” he did.
“We don’t have funds to pay salaries for our staff because of us.
Only got Rs 50 Lakh as a Development Fund from the State Government.
We do not have an affiliated Institute or a large number of students to ensure a healthy financial position.
We also do not have a permanent faculty.
This is a big challenge, “he explained to have the power to recruit temporary employees.
To ensure a better ranking and service that is bound to students, many staff are temporarily appointed for a certain period of time.
The number of departments has now increased to 72 of the original 40.
There is no permission to recruit permanent staff too.
So, we will seek government advice in this matter, “he said.
According to VC from the State University, it’s time to ensure that even the staff while being recruited by following the rules books.” At present, a large number of staff while recruited without following any guidelines .
KIN from selected representatives and academics etc.
are employed.
Then they moved to court, looking for benefits.
It’s like injustice for decent candidates who struggle to get jobs even after academic excellence.
So, the government must act strictly, “he said.
