Lucknow: The months before the election of assembly, the upper government on Wednesday announced a one-time completion scheme (OTS) for power plants, requires up to 100% neglect with additional costs and windows to pay arrears.
This scheme will apply between October 21 (Thursday) and November 30.
The Minister of Power Srikant Sharma said, this scheme will help farmers and small consumers with electricity loads up to 2 kW.
Consumers will be given the opportunity to pay delayed arrears in the six installments and those who have a power load between 2kW and 5 kW will be given 50% neglect with additional costs.
This scheme will also apply to consumers whose power supply has been taken permanently or involved in legal disputes.
SOP, Sumber said, as if aiming to provide assistance to small commercial companies, which financially influenced after economic activities slumped after the pandemic locking triggered.
This step came a few days after the Head of the Yogi Adityanath Minister directed the authority not to take the power supply to farmers who failed to pay electricity bills.

In rural areas, consumers will receive services at the Public Service Center (CSC), which was founded by the Electronic Ministry and IT.
This facility will also be available on the Energy website, www.upenergy.in.
Chairperson of UPPCL M Devraj said the officials of all distribution companies have been instructed to launch special campaigns, drives and hold camps to ensure the maximum number of consumers receive the benefits of the scheme.
He said the discom would review progress every day.
