Ranchi: Jharkhand Passengers Association (JPA) and Netizen Ranchi have expressed their displeasure of the Railway Council Conference to Ranch Ranchi – New Delhi Rajdhani Express through Chandan in Uttar Pradesh twice a week.
SECRETARY OF JPA Prem Kataruka, in the Communique for the Railway Minister Union Ashwini Vaishnav earlier this week, it has urged that the train is operated through Ranchi – Lohardaga – Tori – Garhwa Road – Mughalalarai route to save travel time.
“Operating the train through the voice, which comes under the Sonbadhra District of Uttar Pradesh, will make a travel time of more than 15 hours.
The purpose of transferring the train through the route Lohardaga – Tori will be defeated,” Kataruka said in his letter.
The train board earlier this month considering his approval in principle to run the train through Ranchi – Lohardaga – Tori route to Garhwa Road Junction in the route Ranchi-Muri -Barkakana which is normal.
The transfer should cut a distance of 97 km between Ranchi and the New Delhi train station, which in turn, will save about two hours of travel.
However, formal notifications in this case have been postponed after the railroad board began to get along with the idea of running the Lohardaga – Tori – Garhwa Road and advanced to Chanda on the normal route to Allahabad through Junction Mugalariai.
“While the current distance between Ranchi and New Delhi is 1,339 km, traveling through Lohardaga – Tori – Garhwa Road- Mughalarai will reduce the distance to 1,242 km.
But if the train runs through Chanda, the travel time will increase,” said the source on the train.
Officials who knew about things claiming that the transfer was debatable at the orders of Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, who had been placed at BJP’s election affairs in the Sonbhadra district in Uttar Pradesh.
Senior Railway officials refused to comment on this problem when contacted.
