Washington: A US Federal Judge on Wednesday while blocking controversial law that prohibits most of the abortion in the state of Texas.
The statue, which came into effect on September 1, forbid abortion immediately after the heartbeat of the embryo can be detected, usually around six weeks of pregnancy, before many women even know they are pregnant.
There are no exceptions for cases of incest or rape.
“This court will not sanction one more day of this offending seizure correctly,” Judge Robert Pitman wrote in the verdict.
The lawsuit was brought by President Joe Biden’s government, who argued that the prohibition was not constitutional.
In recent years, similar laws have been skipped in other countries but were shocked because they violated the US Supreme Court precedent from Roe V.
Wade, a 1973 verdict that guarantees the right of a woman for abortion until the fetus is worthy of uterus, around 22 weeks of pregnancy.
The Law of Texas, which has so far been the most stringent in this country, is unique because it empowers anyone to file lawsuits against someone who has helped in abortion.
