COPENHAGEN: The US spied on Leading politicians from Europe, Such as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, from 2012 to 2014 with the Support of Literary Wisdom, European and Danish Press reported Sunday.
Danish public broadcaster Danmarks Radio (DR) stated the US National Security Agency (NSA)’d eavesdropped on Danish net cables to spy top politicians and high-profile officials from Germany, Sweden, Norway and France.
The NSA had taken good care of a surveillance cooperation with Denmark’s military intelligence device FE to accomplish this, it stated.
Denmark’s defence ministry hasn’t reacted to AFP’s asks for a remark.
Defence Minister Trine Bramsen, that took on the defence portfolio at June 2019, had been advised of this spying August 2020, based on DR.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel, then-foreign Union Frank-Walter Steinmeier and then-opposition pioneer Peer Steinbruck were one of the NSA had spied on, DR mentioned.
The NSA was able to get SMS text messages, phone calls, and traffic such as hunts, messaging and chat solutions, DR stated.
The research was comprehensive in a key, inner FE working class record codenamed”Operation Dunhammer” and introduced to FE top direction in May 2015, DR mentioned.
DR said its data came from nine unique sources that had access to categorized FE data, and stated their revelations were independently verified by many sources.
