Jaipur: The State Personnel Department (DOP) on Monday issued orders to appoint 1985 Batch IAS Officer Usha Sharma as the new Secretary of the Head of Rajasthan, making it a second woman to hold a post.
In addition, the secretary of the head came out, Niranjan Arya, who retired on Monday, was appointed as an advisor to CM Ashok Gehlot.
Sharma has also been given additional charges of Rajasthan State Mines and Minerals Ltd., Udaipur.
He will hold this fee until the order further.
DOP orders also stated that salaries, benefits and provisions of Arya services will be issued separately after the approval of the Ministry of Finance.
Sharma, who was secretary, the Department of Youth Affairs, the Indian government, returned to Rajasthan, his parents’ cadres, following the demand for the state government on Sunday.
Sharma is brother-in-law from the speaker of CP Joshi’s state assembly.
He will retire from the service in June, 2023.
Kushal Singh is the first CS of Statesharma who holds the Director General of Director General, Indian Archaeological Survey; Additional secretaries, department of administrative reform and public complaints, the Ministry of Personnel; Additional Director General (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism; Primary Secretary and Commissioner, Rajasthan Tourism Department.
Kushal Singh from Batch 1974 was the main secretary of Rajasthan’s first woman from February 2009 to October 2009.
