Prasagraj: The Covid-19 vaccination program has taken speed at a fast speed in the city of Sangam because more than 8.76 lakh jab is given to recipients who meet the requirements of all age groups in September alone.

However, September has solved all previous records and the number of Jab given in September was the same as Jab given in July and August together.
Until September 28, as many as 26,66,213 jab was given to the eligible receiver which included 21.04, 005 the first dose and 5.62,208 from the second dose.
The district health authorities have set a target to provide a dose to 46.10 Lakh recipients including 34 lakhes between 18 and 44 years and more than 12 lakhs over 45 years.
This figure shows that more than 45 percent of recipients are given at least one dose and around 13 percent of recipients are fully vaccinated.
District immunization officers and additional medical officers, Dr.
Teuth Lal told TI that the department continued to advance towards achieving his target to manage Jab for all recipients who qualified.
He added, “The health team has also succeeded in removing myths about vaccinations among rural people, especially middle-aged and old people who previously refused to get a managed vaccine when contacted by primary health workers or Anganwadi workers.” In addition, a series of mega vaccination drives also help departments to provide vaccines to more recipients and aim to cover all recipients who meet the requirements that live in remote areas.
The numbers also revealed that the number of vaccine recipients between 18-44 years was five times more than the recipient aged over 45 years.
