Vadodara: After a long time, Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has proposed a major infrastructure project in the city.
The Civic body has decided to combine the two proposed firovers and build sustainable in the eastern part of the city.
VMC has taken a job on two different flyovers in the city.
The Gujarat Municipal Finance Council also gave a nod to these streets at the intersection of Jalan Sardar Estate and the Vrundavan intersection in the east.
This project aims to relieve traffic in the area of Jalan Ajwa and Waghodiya.
It was chosen from the list of six prepared by the Civic body after the state government decided to build 54 bridges in city companies in the city in the 2019-20 state budget.
The Civic body proposed to build a flyover in Sangam Crossroads at a cost of Rs 55.39 Crore and others at the busy vrundavan intersection at a cost of Rs 56.74 Crore.
The works were taken for discussion in the Civic body coordination meeting with selected representatives in the city in August.
At the meeting, it was suggested that instead of two lives on the same road at a short distance, a person must be built so that it crosses the crossing of Vrundavan and Sardar Estate.
The Civic body gets a fresh detailed project report prepared for a longer flyover.
The Flyover will cost Rs 130.9crore.
It will be the longest in the city of Easter.
It will be about 1.93 km and the second longest in the city after the construction flyover from Genda Circle to Manha Crossroads.
The proposal will be taken for discussion at the fixed committee meeting from the Civic body on Friday.
