VADODARA: Cops bidding a tearful adieu to one of the most talented and active staffers from the section on Thursday.
Meena, a German Shepherd puppy, who had been part of the town police’s puppy squad for the past seven decades, died on Wednesday after she acquired an infection in her leg and has been sick for the last couple of days.
‘Alert, sensitive and smart’ Meena was recently submitted to guard among the very popular tourist websites — Statue of Unity — which witnesses enormous footfall with hefty VVIP movement such as of PM Narendra Modi.
“After creating an illness, her illness worsened and we dropped her on Wednesday.
It is a really sad time for us since Meena was only eight-years-old,” said a police officer, including that the puppy was brought from the police division at 2014 as a sniffer dog.

“Her job was to protect all major event places.
She was an authority in volatile substances and may easily out them.
