Vadodara: The opposition congress at Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has decided to boycott polls for 30 seats the Metropolitan City Planning Committee calls it jokes.
Polling for the scheduled committee will be held on November 25, but it will not be needed again because the BJP Canporators will win undeniable.
Corporators can follow polls for chairs on the committee and choose also.
While the congress might have decided to boycott the poll, it did not have the chance to win one seat.
VMC has 69 BJP companies and only seven of Congress.
Congress leader in VMC, Ami Ravat stated that the poll was held by the Civic body last time after the high court order.
He added that not a single committee meeting was held.
He called a funny poll and said that there was no point in choosing a non-functioning committee.
Apart from 30 selected members, the committee has 15 members who include members and experts nominated by the government.
BJP has submitted a nomination for 30 members.
The form will be examined on Wednesday.
