Vadodara: The Laxmi Vilas Palace compound consisting of fertile green golf courses and parks seems to have gained popularity among tourists from all types and species as the right place to hangout.
Lately, it has been the main place of the attraction for Vishwamitri crocodile with the palace that recorded five nocturnal visits so far, one recently on Saturday night when a guard saw a four-half leg long crocodile walking around magnificent.

Gujarat’s public volunteer for the prevention of cruelty of animals (GSPCA) was called to save reptiles after half an hour of operation in the park next to the palace and managed to hand over it to the Ministry of Forestry.

Wildlife experts say that nocturnal visits mostly come from reptiles that migrate from rivers looking for safer choices during the rainy season.
“They usually migrate at night so that anyone can barely see their movements.
During the rainy season, the water level in Vishwamitri rose and the flow of water was also high.
So they moved to look for other water bodies,” said Arvind Pawar from Wildlife Rescue Trust (Wrt).
Even though with their appearance it doesn’t seem too friendly, there is no reptile ever attacking humans while migrating from one place to another, the re-enhancer.
