VADODARA: Pass Engineers no longer have to cough RS 1,000 to become part of the University alumni network M.
The Faculty of Technology and Engineering MSU (FTE) has decided to stop the practice of collecting Rs 1,000 from every student who passes from the faculty and gets placement through cell training and placement , “So far, we use RS 1,000 costs as alumni costs.
It is a one-time fee collected from students who accept placements through our training and placement offices.
But now we have decided to stop collecting such honorariums,” said the Faculty of Dean Professor CN Murthy.
“We want students to first get a job and once they grow big, they can support us in many of our efforts,” Murthy said, adding that the faculty also had a stronger alumni network.
Suggestions for stopping such practices that began around 2010 were made by several leading alumni.
“All graduates will now be part of our alumni network without any cost.”
