Vadodara: Official investigations have begun to take statements of children and children’s homes for girls managed by charity missionaries in Makarpura.
The police were pressed at the Institute to try to convert the girls who lived there and hurt religious sentiments.
“We have begun to ask employees who work at the institute of the work they do and the curriculum they teach.
Dozens of children live in the Institute and we also talk to them.
Children were asked about their academics and the prayers they did, “said a police officer.
He added that they would also go through the institute documents and activities.
The police also tried to find a 28-year-old woman suspected of being converted at the Institute.
“It is suspected that the woman married according to the Christian ritual and was converted without mandatory permits from the district collectors.
He might leave the city for fear.
We will track it to take a statement,” officially added it.
Police said that investigations were carried out by ACP level officers under direct supervision of Shamsher Singh City Police Commissioner.
The Institute was ordered three days ago under the Law of Freedom of Religion Gujarat 2003 and hurt religious sentiment.
The move occurred after the Chairman of the National Commission for Protection of the Chairperson of the Children’s Rights (NCPCR) visited the children’s house in August this year.
He found several anomalies at the Institute and wrote a letter to the district collector who asked for a complaint against the Institute.
So, a committee is formed to investigate this case and it provides a report to the collector.
Social Security Officer then filed a complaint.
According to FIR, many Bible copies were found in the institution library.
The NCPCR chairman said that his investigation took him to believe that the Institute used the conversion of several young girls who were given the cross of the Bible and asked to wear a cross.
