Vadodara: A thief went through his day in Pratapnagar thanks to the carelessness of the houses on Tuesday.
Two people from the house went to work without closing the door while a woman was busy helping her son in her online class in one of the bedrooms.
Meanwhile, Open House welcomed thieves, which smoothly put with valuables worth Rs 1.5 lakh.
According to Kamran Sulemani who complained, after he left for his job at around 8:45 a.m.
on Tuesday, his father Kamil Hussain, who had a stationery shop too, left home.
Sulemani’s wife Bilqis with their son Rehman in the bedroom for his online class, so he didn’t realize that the house was open.
Between 9:15 a.m.
and 10:30 a.m., a calm thief walked to Sulemani’s house and went to the bedroom where the safe deposit was saved.
The thief managed to easily open a safe and found a box where Rs 25,000 cash and gold and diamond jewelry worth RS 1.2 lakh saved.
He quickly took the box and was looking for more valuables when Sulemani’s domestic assistance reached their home according to the daily routine at 10:30 a.m.
Domestic help goes with a broom in the same bedroom where the thief is located.
However, none of them would expect each other there, so both were surprised.
Thieves published houses and domestic assistance shouted after Bilqis came out of his room.
When his help tells what happened, it was too late because the thief came out of the building.
Then, Bilqis named Sulemani to tell him about the theft and he filed a complaint at the Wadi Police Station.
“We asked the people around the house where there were people who saw thieves or not, but we had not found a clue.
There was no CCTV camera in the building, but we checked the camera footage installed in the neighborhood,” said a police officer.
