Indian Railways has extended deadlines for fresh tenders floating for 58 sets of Vande Bharat trains.
The deadline for submitting offers for the main system of the Vande Bharat train has been extended until November 22.
The train hopes to launch 75 trains Vande Bharat Express on August 2023 and more than 100 March 2024.
A train official told TI that the deadline has been extended since some stakeholders have asked more time to understand the requirements of the project.
The previous date for submission of offers was October 20.
Railways India has provided a tender for a propulsion system and a key system of 44 train Vande Bharat to Medha Servo in early 2021.
Vande Bharat Express, also called the train 18 after the production year, is a self-propelled train set that does not require a locomotive to transport it.
Similar to the bullet train in terms of exterior view, Vande Bharat can run at speeds of up to 160 kmpj.
Train car air-conditioned chairs have such features; European style seats, 360 degree spinning chairs in the executive class, personalized reading lights, friendly toilets, gps-based passenger information screens, mini kitchens, automatic entrances, enhanced LED lighting for dust free for environmental dust free, bio-toilet Modular, a controlled door centered with a sliding trail.

Currently two Vande Bharat trains run between New Delhi and Varanasi and New Delhi and Katra in Jammu and Kashmir.
The new Vande Bharat train will have a chair that is more comfortable with push-back features to lie down, more emergency buttons, bacterial-free ac systems, ventilation up to 3 hours if power failure, emergency window for protection, protection, bottom line equipment from natural vehames , centralized coach monitoring system etc.
The train set is completed.
The first two Vande Bharat Express train has been produced at the ICF, Chennai.
However, new rakes will be produced in the three railroad production units; ICF, RCF and MCF.
