Pune: The Civic Body started a 75-hour Covid vaccination drive at Kamala Nehru Hospital and Sutar from Tuesday.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) officials stated that they had mobilized three teams in three shifts in two designated places from the drive.
Rajashri Patil, the vaccination responsible at Kamala Nehru Hospital, said that in the afternoon, they had been vaccinated by around 130 beneficiaries with Covaxin and around 40 beneficiaries with covishield.
“Now most of the beneficiaries receive their first or second shots, there are a few crowds.
Vaccination under a special drive will also be available at night.
However, we are not sure whether there will be takers for the same thing,” he said.
Ashish Bharati, Head of PMC Civil Health, said they hoped for a good response to the trip on Wednesday and Thursday.
Bharati said that the Civic body focused more on the second dose recipient, with 80% of the doses provided for those who kicked the second jab.
“We have discussed most of our first Jab recipients and the target is still discussing delayed,” he added.
Sanjay Deshmukh, Assistant Director (Medical), Pune Circle, told Tii, “We have received a number of good doses for vaccination drives.
On September 30, the district has received 2.2 lakh doses of covishield and covaxin, while on October 4, We received 2.78 doses of lakh.
“According to Deshmukh, according to the central guidelines, the final vaccination target of the district has been tweaked and is now set at 83.66 lakh from 87 lakh before.
About 72.98 Lakh beneficiaries have received their first shots and 35.83 beneficiaries of the Lakh have received both shots.
On Tuesday, around 49,572 beneficiaries were given vaccines in this district.
