RAJKOT/ / VADODARA: Terming milk per superfood, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) which markets products under the Amul brand on Tuesday took an aggressive stand against fans of vegan beverages.
Tuesday was World Butter Day.
Amul and PETA India are included in a war of words.
Before, GCMMF managing director R S Sodhi had reverted back in PETA India within the latter’s opinion that Amul should change into’vegan milk’ from milk goods.

“The Truth being propagated by noodle lobby using MNCs discriminated against milk through slanderous attempts, planting the notion that ingestion of milk and dairy goods are unhealthy; can magnify the image of the milk industry and negatively affect the farm gate costs obtained by the dairy farmers in the very long term,” GCMMF discharge on Tuesday stated.
GCMMF’s vice chairman and Sarhad milk’s chairman Valamji Humbal requested all dairy farmers to produce representation prior to Prime Minister Narendra Modi contrary effort of NGOs such as PETA.
