Vadodara: A video from four women ‘killing’ the fetus illegally in the backyard of an old house in Santrampur in the Mahisagar district has sent the District Administration to Tizi.
District Health Officers on Saturday entered action and visited a place where women were seen taking part of the fetus before starting the investigation of this problem.
The Ministry of Health also enrolled police complaints against four women seen in video that became viral on social media.
Officials, however, said that they did not try to ascertain whether it was recently shot and began legal action against women under the medical termination of pregnancy action (MTP).
“The police accompanied us to a place for further investigation.
We have registered firmly against four women,” said Dr.
Swapnil Shah, head of district health workers, Mahisagar.
In the four women’s video looks to take part of the fetus from a young woman.
“The investigation will reveal if the fetus is dead in the womb or if it is killed.
The woman’s four faces in the video are not clear,” Shah added.
Allegations also appeared that the four women were ‘staff members of the private hospital.
The police are now trying to ensure the identity of women whose fetuses are removed and investigations will also focus on allegations of hospital staff.
Shah said that the incident was serious and the investigation would be made to ascertain whether illegal abortion was being carried out in other parts of the district.
Santrampur Mla Kuber Dindor said, “such incidents are embarrassing to the community.
Legal actions must be made to anyone involved in the incident.”
