Gurgaon: Eight people have been ordered for allegedly blocking the laying of pipes to supply wastewater treated in Sakatpur Village.
The pipe is being placed from the South Peripheral Road (SPR) to the village to supply water treated tertiary at the Aravali hill at the request of the Ministry of Forestry.
According to complaints by GMDA, several locals created ‘unnecessary obstruction’ despite the approval of the Gram Panchayat village Sakatpur.
Authority also looks for police protection so that work can be executed smoothly.
Sub-Divisional Engineer S K Kaushik said the villagers had “behaved badly” with engineers and operators and they had no choice but to file complaints.
